Geocache Description:

The cache is situated on the outskirts of Four Lanes, off a footpath on common access land. On a clear day the views are stunning.

The Redruth mast is the main TV and radio transmitter for West Cornwall. Due to switch over from analogue signal to digital between July and September 2009. Baird Television made Britains first televised broadcast on 30th September 1929 using the electromechanical system pioneered by John Logie Baird. There are several possible routes to the cache which has space for small swaps. Parking is available in lay-bye at N.50 12.490, W005 14.630.It may be advisable to avoid looking for this cache on a Sunday morning due to the local clay pigeon shoot.
