Geocache Description:

Short drive off main track road.

There are a number of caves in this area. I plan on placing additional caches in this area when I can get more accurate descriptions of where the other caves are. Each cave has it's own name: Gwinn Cave, T Cave, Little Arch Cave, Big Arch Cave and Pot of Gold Cave. I had to use the descriptions given to me to identify two of the caves; this one (T Cave) and Big Arch Cave. T Cave is closed to exploring from Oct 15 to May 1 each year to protect the bat inhabitants. So, if you plan on exploring the cave, do so between May 2 - Oct 14 only. The entrance to this cave is small and requires you to be on your hands and knees for approx. 100 feet. The cave then opens up into a rather large cavern running quite a distance both north and south from the entrance; hence the name, T Cave. You don't have to enter the cave to discover the cache. It is a rather simple hide and should take you no time at all to discover it. No rocks to overturn. Some of the caves are too close to each other to place caches at each one, but look for more to come in this area. As always, when in the desert, watch for buzztails, scorpions and other nasty critters. If you have young ones with you, keep a close eye on them. Be safe and have fun!
