Less than one mile walk from Hennessy Farm parking. After crossing Miscoe brook and around field, use the woodland trails to the old road at the edge of town. You are looking for a rubbermaid pastic container but NOT in the stone walls.
Along the Grafton/Upton town line is an old road leading north into Westboro and over Fay Mountain with elevation over 700 feet above sea level. In the 1950's, it's use as a through road was interupted by the alignment of the new Massachusetts Turnpike. Centuries earlier, native Americans, used the Mount as a landmark in this Nipmuck territory and a junction of well worn paths, including the old Connecticut Path leading west from Massachusetts Bay and the Narragansett Trail heading south.
This cache was one of a number released June 2007 as part of the Great Grafton Geocache, a joint project of the community and local land trust, to introduce residents and other outdoor enthusiasts to the varied trail system and protected open space throughout the Town of Grafton Massachusetts.
