Last month, 4/2007, we stopped at this rest area to meet friends on our way to a Good Sam Samboree in Texarkana. I had not stopped here before as it is not far from home and we had never needed to "rest" this soon. I was shocked to see that my map program did not show a cache here, and resolved to correct the situation. IT NEEDED A CACHE on both the west and east bound sides. So this month when our club gathered here on our way to camp in Hope, I grabbed the chapter president and we went to find a hiding place. Don had found a couple caches with me, but had never placed one before. I am a carrier and am trying to infect him with the geocaching addiction! It is working.
So enjoy your your rest stop and thank the Good Sam club for causing this to be a dual purpose rest area.
