Geocache Description:

Placed in honor of SAGA's founding President

In May of 2005 a guest introduced us to geocaching by taking us to find Geolite's Cedar Conundrum. We were not able to find it that day, but they asked us to give it another try and email them a picture of the ellusive container. Several trips later I proudly made the find. A seed was planted.

Sometime later as I was preparing for a visit to my son I remembered this geocaching thing and thought it might be something we could do together to pass the time. I practiced a bit at home and took off for Boston with my husbands etrex and several sheets of paper. Walking and talking we whiled the hours away, and found a few caches as well. Wonderful visit, caching was just the thing to give us some focus to our adventures.

And it took off from there. Go ahead, check our profile, its all recorded. First a dabble here, then a dabble there, a few binges, another vacation or two, a GPS upgrade- I admit it we are hooked.

And to think, it all started with a Geolite cache.

And so- we hide this cache in an undeveloped greenway park as our thank you gift.

First cache is a micro in the woods- hidden in our attempt at Geolite style. Watch out for those Dips in the Road. What's that I see, a touch of pink? Enjoy your walk in the woods. Don't worry about forks in the trail or lost reception. Pause and take a Glimpse of the River when next you see it hiding behind the blackberries. Have a crazy notion that over the years we can cut away at the blackberries and establish a quiet oasis. What's that, another touch of pink? The second and final cache is what you expect.

Thanks Geolite for all the fun.

Container can hold small trading items, bring your own pen. Starting off with some pink trading items and a gift for Geolite. Want to spend more time in the area? Lid contains coordinates for a bonus cache.

Off trail there is poison oak, nettles and blackberries, but you don't have to mess with them and can still enjoy the area. I'm told that the Bass fishing is hot there this week. In the winter of course the area is muddy, but you still should be able to handle.

Park closes at night. Please don't disturb the neighbors. Remove any trash or inappropriate items you find along the way. Look carefully before turning south as you exit.
