This is a great easy quad or dirtbike ride, but can actually be done with most 4WDs. . .the challenge is getting through the active logging operation. We strongly recommend making this a weekend outing.
The road narrows a bit in some spots, so we don't think you ought to bring the brand new baby geo-mobile. . .or the honking big mac-daddy geo-mobile either. Otherwise, it's a nice leisurely ride in the woods, and over the mountain, and down the backside and back up the other side and, you get the idea. Pick the right time of day and you can get a truly great sunset over the Trinity Alps--pick thr right time of year and you can go through the dogwoods and wildflowers clear down to the Trinity River.
