The Engel Conservation Area was just dedicated in 2006. This is a park in the progress of being worked on. Some areas are more developed than others. The Boy Scouts have done a significant amount of work including building bridges, creating paths and creating trail signs. The park can be muddy in areas at different times of the year. Highly recommend bringing bug spray.
No bushwacking needed at all as this is right on the trail. You are looking for an approximately 2 inch x 2 inch camouflage-taped plastic container. There is room for very small trades. Please bring your own pen to sign the log. PLEASE RE-HIDE THE CACHE THE WAY YOU FOUND IT to make the experience enjoyable for the next person. The cache is named for a nearby pond that is “seasonal” or ephemeral based upon the rainfall and the time of the year.
This trails and locating this cache would be difficult after a snowfall of over 4 inches high. Permission to place this cache was granted by Tom Zagar, Conservation Coordinator of the City of Muskego Planning Department.
