Geocache Description:

A regular cache in Trailhead Park in South Richland at the northern base of Badger Mountain.

We saw some recent comments about too many micros in local caches, so here is a regular sized one that can take a travel bug or two. The cache is a 2" X 6" X 8" Lock & Lock and is camo'd well.

The cache is in Trailhead Park which is at the end of Queensgate Drive. The park is 40 acres with 2.5 acres developed with playgrounds and benches. The parking area is at the corner below the developed part of the park. The trail to the top of Badger Mountain starts at the parking lot and ascends for several hundred feet to the top. The cache is near the beginning of the trail and not far from the developed part of the park.

If you are feeling up to it, there are two more caches (at present) further up on the mountain.

When placed, the cache contained:
- a Mini Etch a Sketch key chain
- a flashlight key chain
- "Rattlesnake Eggs" singing magnets
- a Mini Slinky
- 35mm film cannister
- a chunk of petrified wood
- and several tumbled and polished stones: red tiger's eye, tiger's eye, serpentine, amethyst, quartz.
