Santa Rosa Glider Spot Traditional Cache
krueg: Had to check up on this cache after the last DNF's. It does look like someone has done some illegal dumping here. I was able to find the cache and a travel bug was inside. Due to the now trashy looking area I'm going to archive this one, maybe transplanting it to a better location. I'll find a now home for the travel bug soon.

Just off the main road, there is no need to go bushwacking, you will be able to get to it from the hard pack dirt.
I have been flying radio control gliders up here for about four years now. The hills create a great slope with lots of lift. It has to be my favorite place for head to head combat wings. You'll get a great view of a small valley filled with some crop fields and a river to the far side of the valley. You need to park on the side of the road and be careful of traffic going by, some folks go a little fast here. These hills are filled with poison oak so stay on the roads. Keep your kids real close until you get onto the dirt road away from any trafic and things will be just fine. If your lucky you might see some fancy flying in the sky right above.
