Il "Mausoleo di Clesippo" risale al I° Sec. a.C.. Oggi spoglio dei rivestimenti di travertino che originariamente lo ricoprivano è stato attribuito a Clesippo Geganio che la leggenda vuole essere stato uno schiavo che fu reso libero dalla sua padrona per le sue capacità amatorie. Divenuto ricco e famoso fece costruire questo monumento a memoria della sua benefattrice.
A fianco del Mausoleo si erge il Casale di Mesa, fatto costruire da Papa Pio VI sulle rovine di una antica “mansio” (stazioni di posta che si trovavano ad un giorno di cammino l'una dall'altra... i Motel dell'epoca). Il nome Mesa deriva con ogni probabilità da Mesas o Medias che indica la metà del Decennuvium, canale di 19 miglia che arrivava fino a Terracina, oggi canale Linea Pio.
Il cache è un contenitore tipo Tapperware che permette di depositare Geocoin e TB con oggetti non troppo grossi. Fate molta attenzione la mattina dei giorni lavorativi perché vicino al cache c'è un Ufficio Veterinario della ASL molto frequentato.

The "Mausoleum of Clesippo" built in I° Sec. B.C. It has been attributed to Clesippo Geganio. The legend tells that he was a slave so was free for his owner for his amatory abilities. When he becomes rich and famous he does build this monument in memory of his benefactress.
Beside the Mausoleum there's “Casale di Mesa”, it built from Pope Pio VI on the ruins of an ancient mansio (stations that found to one day of walk the one from the other... the Motels of the epoch). The name Mesa derives with every probability from Mesas or Medias that indicate a half of “Decennuvium”, it's a channel that is long 19 miles, that arrive to Terracina, today the channel is called “Linea Pio”.
The cache is a container type Tapperware that allows to deposit Geocoin and TB with objects not too much big. You watch out a lot of in the morning of the working days because next to the cache there is a Veterinary Office very frequented.
