This cache will take to you to a rock ledge overlook with gorgeous
views of the salt marsh, a birds eye view of an osprey nesting
platform and sweeping views of Long Island sound. When planning out
this cache I almost got swept up by several very moonfox-like
hides. In the end I stuck to my plan to make this a short
diversion, intending it to be kid friendly (but watch them near the
drop-offs). My plan is to see how long this cache lasts before
being muggled and then I will replace it with a trickier hide.
Parking can be found as per the "Stranded .." cache. The white
trail loop can be picked up at N41 16.187 W72 45.600 or N41 16.182
W72 45.492 off the main trail. Leaving the trail at either location
will bring you past the cache and loop back to the main trail.
Near the cache at N41 16.272 W72 45.697 you will find a plaque
which tells you a little about Jennie Vedder who spent years saving
up to buy 27 acres of the surrounding woods and marshes then
donating them to be preserved for our enjoyment!
Please replace the cache exactly as found.
Bring your own writing utensil.
