Geocache Description:

This is definitely not a dash and cache. Getting to the cache will require hiking along dirt/rocky trails with several ups/downs, which is why I call this the Roller Coaster Trails in Palos Verdes. Great ocean views from the trails. Hiking boots or very sturdy shoes are highly recommended.

There are several routes you can take to get to the cache, but below are two that are the most direct and which I would call “moderately strenuous.” I provide approximate distances and elevation changes but “your experience may vary” based on which set of trails you use from these trail heads. All routes are “upside down hikes” with loss of elevation at the start and gain on the way back. Have a fun adventure!

1) Somewhat Longer but Less Strenuous: Park at what locals call “end of Crenshaw Blvd” or Burma Road which is at about N 33 45.458, W 118 22.034. From this spot the distance to the cache is about 1.5 miles with an elevation loss/gain of about 500 feet.

2) Somewhat Shorter but More Strenuous: Park near the western end of what is known as McBride Trail, on Ocean Terrace at about N 33 45.328, W 118 23.256. From here the hike to the cache is about 1.3 miles with an elevation loss/gain of about 500 feet.

The cache is a clear plastic container with much room for small trades. It is easily accessible from the hiking trail. Original contents: TB, various trinkets, and $1.00 for FTF.
