Geocache Description:

Welcome to the L.A.T.C.H. 101 series of caches. L.iving A.dventure T.hrough C.ache H.opping. This will be an ongoing series of 101 caches. These hides will be spread around to various locations. Caches will be covering different categories, sizes, types, overall difficulty (both terrain and location difficulty), the series will also contain traditional, puzzle and multi caches. This series gives me a chance to get my “hide fix”. It also gives you a chance to get your “find fix”. I love where I live and all of the surrounding areas. With this series I can explore more of my domain and at the same time give you the chance to explore areas that we might otherwise pass by. I am happy when a cache does something as simple as make me drive down a side street that I (while living in the Tri-Cities for 31 years) have never taken. You might say that I enjoy taking the road “less traveled”. I hope you enjoy these caches as much as I have hiding them. Please use stealth when hunting, rehide cache better than you found it, CITO, trade even, take responsibility for your own safety when caching, be aware of poisonous plants/snakes/wildlife/thorns, have fun and happy caching.

Again I am bringing you to the Horse Creek Recreation Area. Be aware that the hours of access are from 7am until 10pm. There is parking in a paved lot available. From parking you will take the rocky service road up the hill. At the first foot bridge on your left you will crossover onto the hiking trail. Heavy tree cover will give your GPSr a fit and, at times, you may have to stop in a clearing and let it get signal and take readings. Bring some water for the hike. This little gem is not far along the trail from parking. Some minor elevation changes should be expected. Trail is packed dirt. This is a sign only micro so remember a pen. Enjoy the hike.
