A classic Lock N' Lock in the woods. Park in the canoe launch area at the gravel road just west of the hide on the north side (westbound) Lake Cook Road Under the brown steel footbridge/DPR Trail.
I drive the road to the south of the hide daily. From the road you will see the large green and white highway sign for Milwaukee ave. Just a bit further west you will see a log on the ground parallel to the forest edge. Just a bit further west you will see Bambi's driveway. What else could this be? A clean, straight clearing into the woods from the main road. Looks like a driveway. Must be a driveway. Who's drivreway is it? The only resident of these here woods are deer. This must be Bambi's driveway. Hunt this cache from Lake Cook road. Hike along the forest edge until you get to the apron of Bambi's driveway Your GPSR should show you to be basically south of the hidey spot by a bit. Hike north along the driveway into the woods. The driveway makes a sharp left to the west. You will continue on north to the hide.
