The Bike & Hike Trail follows the course of the old Akron,
Bedford & Cleveland Railroad from Hudson Drive in Stow north to
Route 8 in Boston Heights. The AB&C interurban (or “Alphabet
Railroad”) carried riders from Akron to Cleveland’s Public Square
in about 2 1/2 hours for the price of 50 cents. Service on the
railroad line was discontinued in 1932. This multi lies on part of
that trail.
An Ohio Multi by Loch Cache
This multi follows part of the old ABC line that has been converted
to a bike path. At the posted coordinates you will find a magnet
that has the last three digits to the north and west coordinates
(i.e. N.123 W.456) for the final. Please note
that the final has the same degrees and minutes as the posted
coordinates.
When looking for the stages you will never need to go over a fence,
into traffic or even more than 10 feet from the main pathway.
In the cache is a geocoin owned by marine95 that I got out of
GC12WMP when I was FTF. I hope the FTF of this cache will pick it
up. Also in the cache are a couple Where’s George dollars and a few
Cub Scout patches.
Keep on caching,
Loch Cache
