Geocache Description:

Oakmont Farms open space resulted when a developer gave the land to the Town of Grafton in exchange for being allowed to build residences along Milford Road. The trails were blazed by Andy Witman of BSA Troop 107 as part of his Eagle project and the wooden bridges were built by Rich Wadland for his Eagle project. There is an extensive network of trails that connects to the trails in the town-owned Hassanamesit Woods and the Land Trust owned Parker, Salisbury, and Platt Preserves. Look for the old drywell (N42 10.727/W071 39.571), cellar hole (N42 10.724/W071 39.560) & fireplace (N42 10.736/W071 39.475). You do not need to search stonewalls. Please do not bushwhack! This cache was released for the GREAT GRAFTON GEOCACHE event, a town-wide event on Saturday, June 2, 2007 to coincide with National Trails Day. We invited expert and amateur geocachers to discover through Geocaching the fabulous trail system in this beautiful Blackstone Valley town. The event was coordinated by volunteers with the cooperation of the Town of Grafton, The Grafton Land Trust, Tufts University, Grafton Schools, and Brigham Hill Community Barn.
