Geocache Description:

The cache is not at the listed coordinates.  It is less than 2 miles away.

Hi everyone.  This is the first cache I have ever placed.  I wanted to make a puzzle cache because I solved a few of the puzzle caches around in my area and I thought it would be fun to make a puzzle that other people could solve as well.  I haven't seen a puzzle cache based on Kakuro, so I thought I would give it a shot.

Kakuro is a Japanese game that is a little similar to Sudoku, but it looks more like a crossword puzzle.  It's more commonly called Cross Sums here in America.

Some black cells contain a diagonal slash from top left to bottom right with numbers in them called "clues".  A number in the top right corner relates to an "across" clue, while the number on the bottom relates to the "down" clue. The main goal of this game is to fill each square with a number from 1-9, so the numbers add up to the corresponding clues squares in each row and column.  When the grid is full, the puzzle is complete.

There's one basic rule to this game, which is that there can be no duplicate numbers used to add up to the clue number.  IE.  A clue number of 6 over two squares can only be reached by using (1+5), (2+4), (4+2), or (5+1).... NOT (3+3).

Here are some links to help you understand how the game is played and how to solve the puzzle.

I won't give out any hints until someone finds the cache, but I will tell you that you need to BYOP.  Happy puzzle solving and good luck.
