Geocache Description:

Watch out for muggles!!

This cache is in a plastic screw top kind of container. The cache has a very small stuffed animal theme but it is not necessary to stay with the theme as the cache container may be best described as small. Key chain sized stuffed animals are probably best. The cache contains logbook, pencil and pencil sharpener. Easy access by way of the well groomed salmon trail but you will have to still look carefully for the cache. The closest parking is along the highway #6 just East of Lumby at N 50 14.921 W 118 57.326 It is about a 7 min. walk to the cache from this parking spot. The Lumby Weyerhaeuser Salmon Trails follow Bessette and Duteau creeks and are the Eastern most spawning grounds of Pacific coho and Chinook salmon. These salmon travel more than 1,000 kilometres upstream along the Frazer and Thompson River Systems to come back to these small streams to spawn. Although spawning occurs only in late summer and fall the interpretive signs and activities make the trails interesting anytime. Each trail exists in a different environment ranging from the cottonwood riparian habitat to the industrial land that is indicative of Lumby’s association with forest products.
