Welcome to the 17th cache by "Keeper of Time"
Located between Mount Bullengarook and Mount Gisbourne is this area of relatively undisturbed old growth forest that has recently been included into the Lerderderg State Park. The range is home to over 130 species of birds and over 370 native plant species which provide magnificent wildflower displays during late winter and spring.
Access to the cache is easily made by 2 wheel drive vehicle, just park you car in the obvious spot and walk along the track to GZ (about 300m). You MUST access the cache from the track and on foot only, park rules do not allow horse riding, motor bike riding or 4 wheel driving.
Please note that there are no camping or picnic areas within the range and visits are not recommended on days of high fire risk or on days of total fire bans.
The cache is a 2 litre sistema container hidden in a typical geocaching manner, I hope you enjoy the peace and eternal tranquillity of this area.
Please ensure that it is well hidden before you leave and I would ask that you help maintain the standard of the cache by placing quality swaps only. As always, be mindful of the local wildlife both good and bad.
