Greatland Reviewer: Hello:

This cache page has been archived due to the lack of response to one or more prior Reviewer Note(s) about issue(s) with the cache. If the owner would like to have the cache unarchived, please contact me through my profile as soon as possible before another cache gets placed nearby.

Please note that unarchiving a cache page requires it to go through the same review process as a newly proposed cache, using the cache placement guidelines currently in effect.

Geocache Description:

Dragon's Back is a ridge running north-south along the eastern side of Hong Kong Island.
It is a very popular hiking trail and forms the Stage 8 of the Hong Kong Trail.
Starting from Shek O Road and ending at Big Wave Bay, the trail offers a fantastic view in a clear day. Take Bus No. 9 to To Tei Wan and start the climb up.
The initial climb requires some effort, but once you are riding on its back, the walk is fairly easy.

Alternatively, you can start at Tai Tam Gap Correctional Institution and head south. To arrive at the correctional center, one can start at Chai Wan, walk along Lin Shing Road, Cape Collinsion Road or just take the bus no.14 at Sai Wan Ho MTR station. Using this route, you miss the beach and the nice trail down to Big Wave Bay (Octopus Garden is nearby).

If you want a more challenging hike, you can attempt Collision too. But make sure your have enough stamina.

The cache location is among some rocks off the main trail. You have to climb up using some overgrown paths. There are many paths and it is better to return to the main trail using the same path you go up. Don't try anything dangerous. I once went down using an ill-defined path and ended up requiring to climb through a fence and then down a water catchment, definitely not a very good experience for a lone hiker.

Please conceal the cache carefully when you put it back so that a casual hiker cannot see the cache easily.
