According to a statement I found on the Internet, “some 40 million American adults read at or below 5th-grade level, making it difficult to perform such everyday tasks as reading a newspaper, writing and addressing a letter, completing a job application, or calculating simple mathematical totals. Low literacy skills significantly impact adults’ ability to be productive as citizens, parents or workers.” Therefore, I’m on the road again (placing caches)—this time, encouraging cachers to pick up an Amherst Bee – a free newspaper by the Bee Publications of western New York. USE STEALTH when retrieving the cache and signing the log. It has been muggled a few times! Please bring your own pen/pencil for signing the logbook. DO NOT SIGN THE LOG AT THE BEE BOX. Take it back to your car and sign. Store owners and customers are watching!
