The members of one family lost their lives in a natural gas pipeline explosion March 4, 1965 on this site.
J.R. Rond, Willie Mae Rond, Charles Roy Rond, Danny Rond, Ola Dean Rond Barbo, Bookie Barbo, Baby Barbo, Little Ba-Bo, & Louis Gilcrease. A total of 17 lives were lost that day along with 5 homes. On the 10th anniversary of this explosion another occured within 500FT. with no loss of life or property damage.
