The cache is a log-only micro on Blue Rock. Canoes and kayaks can start (as we did) from the Mud Creek Access on VT Rt 78 in Alburg. Larger boats will have to start elsewhere. Possibilities include the accesses at: North Hero SP, the North Hero-Alburg bridge , Dillenback Bay and Hog Island Pt (Swanton). There is no access from Blue Rock Rd. While it may be possible to access the cache on land in drier times (but I doubt it), you will need a boat or hip waders and a lot of stamina most of the time. Extra credit if you use a boat from Nov. to Apr.
Take a look around. It's a surprisingly good view.
