Welcome to the oldest multi-stage cache in Michigan still owned and maintained by the original hider.
This is a multi-cache with 3 parts.
Stage one is roadside. Using the information found there and at the covered bridge which is N42 58.825 W85 19.623 you can decipher the clue below and find stage two.
N42 XX.XXX
W85 YY.YY2
XX.XXX = (ABC / 2) + 13
A = SCHOOL DISTRICT #
B = YEAR FALLASBURG WAS FIRST SETTLED
C = SECTION NUMBER JW FALLAS PURCHASED TIMES THE SIZE
YY.YY2 = (E+F) - (G-7)
E = FIRST YEAR REPAIRS WERE DONE ON THE BRIDGE
F = SECOND YEAR REPAIRS WERE DONE ON THE BRIDGE
G = YEAR THE COVERED BRIDGE WAS BUILT
- A,B,C etc. each represent a string of digits, they may be a single digit or many.
- Don’t do any math unless an explicit math operator is given.
- AB does not mean A*B, it just means to write the digits in sequence.
HINT: All stages are within the park and are within about a mile radius of the cache. If you find yourself heading many miles down the road you better go back and recheck the clues and your math!
Stage two has coordinates to the actual loot.
The Cache is in a large clear plastic container with a white top. Lots of goodies, a Michigan book called "Off the beaten Path", several software CDs, a lock with keys, baseball, kids book, and some other goodies. Also check out my collectable "cache cards".
From the parking area near the 2nd stage you can walk west towards the river and follow the North Country Trail along the river to the final cache.
