Due to some recent changes on Geocaching which may make it more difficult in finding the Baseline Coord's I have added Geochecker to Verify you have the Correct Coord's before you set out to find this cache.

The coordinates above are " NOT " the location of the cache. They are a meaningless location in a Baseball Field in Granby, MA which is the town to which you will be traveling. Cache is located within Two Miles of listed coordinates.

One of the benefits of membership in geocaching.com is that you have the option of receiving notification of new caches in your area. Among other things, this information includes the distance to those new caches. In order to calculate these distances, geocaching.com has established baseline coordinates in each city/town from which to make these measurements. To find this cache you must first find the baseline coordinates for Granby, MA Zip Code 01033 (DO NOT SEARCH AT THIS LOCATION!). From the baseline coordinates you will need to project a distance of 1.67 miles at a Bearing of 358.85 At these new calculated coordinates you will be searching for a well hidden and camouflaged Ammo Can to blend in with the surrounding area and to avoid detection from the many who use these trails.

Please keep in mind Stealth may be required at times at the final location since the Cache is hidden close to the trail and no bushwacking is required.

Please do not post how you came about finding the Cache, coordinates, or the Camo used to keep the Cache hidden even if your log is encrypted. Please Re-Hide the Ammo Can Exactly as you found it and with the appropriate camouflage and try to leave no trace to insure that it will not be discovered by mugglers and hopefully allow others a challenging hunt.

I have rated this a 4.5 Star Difficulty due to the tree cover and reception in the area and the hide itself. I did take readings both on a rainy/cloudly day and on a sunny day and had readings of within 2 Ft to 15/20 Ft of the hide and seem the best if I just let GPS'r settle down after standing for a few minutes.


If you have paid close attention the Hint to finding the Ammo Can has been there all along and I may add another in the future. If you should find a Cammo container you know your in the right area
