Selfors Cache Splash 2007


Welcome to our Selfors Cache Splash 2007 event in Selfors, Mo i Rana on Saturday 4th of August. Mo i Rana is located in Northern Norway, just below the artic circle, and it should be fairly easy to get here by car, train or even by plane.
The location of the event is approximately 3km north of the city center of Mo i Rana in northern Norway. There are 7 caches in the area at the moment, but we will have about 15 more published on the day of the event. We'll have various types of containers and difficulties. This is our first attempt at an event so we want to gauge the interest - please post a log if you plan to attend! The event will be located in an area suitable for bbq's. :-) We hope many enthusiastic geocachers can attend and that this might recruit some new cachers here in our area!


Agenda for the event Saturday 4th of August:
0800: Our 15 new caches will be published at www.geocaching.com. (Papercopies will be available at the parking coordinates.) The search begins!
1400: Coffee-break for those who are able to stop searching.. :-)
1800: Gathering at the event coordinates, activity summary (at this point) and sosializing..
Bring your form*, food for bbq and your good mood! :-)

*) We'll upload a form for registering the exact time you find the caches. We want all attendees to please fill out the form during their caching-activites on this day.


Velkommen til vårt Selfors Cache Splash 2007 event på Varmorsletta, Selfors, Mo i Rana lørdag den 4. august. Mo i Rana ligger i Nordland, like sør for polarsirkelen, og det er lett å komme seg hit med bil, tog eller fly.
Eventet skal avholdes cirka 3km nord for Mo i Rana sentrum. Det er for tiden 7 cacher i området, men vi vil publisere 15 nye til eventet. Det blir forskjellige typer bokser og varierende vanskelighetsgrad. Dette er vårt forsøk på et event, så vi ønsker å få tilbakemeldinger underveis - vær så snill å post en logg her hvis du ønsker å delta! Eventet holdes i et område som er velegnet for grilling. :-) Vi håper mange entusiastiske geocachere tar turen og at dette kanskje kan rekruttere noen nye cachere her i området!

Agenda for eventet lørdag den 4.august:
0800: Våre 15 nye cacher publiseres på www.geocaching.com. Jakten begynner! I tilfelle noen ikke driver papirløs caching kopierer vi opp blekker med alle cachene som vi kan dele ut på parkeringsplassen på samme tidspunkt. Ellers går vi til og fra utover formiddagen.. :-)
1400: Vi koker bålkaffe slik at de som ønsker en liten pause i letinga kan møtes og prate litt 'sjit'.. :-)
1800: Samling på sletta, oppsummering av status (så langt) og hyggelig samvær.. Ta med skjema*, grillmat og godt humør! :-)

*) Vi laster opp et skjema for registrering av tidspunkt for logging av funn. Vi ønsker at alle deltakere fyller ut skjemaet underveis.
