This is a small container about 8" diameter and 3" high. Should be easy to find. Look for easiest access to cache which should be the side not facing the trail. Replace as you found it please.
Welcome to the Mosquito Creek Hiking Trail. We hope you enjoy this trail as much as we do. All the trails in the Quehanna area are maintained by volunteers. The volunteers keep the trail clear of all brush and fallen trees and also make sure the colored blazes are bright and easy to see by hikers. Mosquito Creek is our trail and we thought it would be appropriate to place some caches along the trail to make it even more enjoyable.
We strongly urge you to use the suggested coords for parking at least for the first 3 caches along this trail. There may be other caches added and we will advise you at that time where to begin your hike for those.
To get to the parking area turn off the Quehanna Highway at the coords below:

Park at the coords below, where you will begin your hike:

You will be following the Yellow Blazed trail to the cache. Bushwacking is not required. Although there are Rattle Snakes in the Quehanna Wild Area, this is an established trail system and by using just a little common sense an encounter with a rattler should be easy to avoid. Just make some noise with your trekking pole and keep an eye on the trail and the sides of the trail. We have yet to see one along here and we have hiked it at all times of the year. Ticks are also pretty common in the Quehanna area but we are happy to say that we had no ticks on our last trail maintenance hike. So get out there and enjoy it and find a few caches.
This container was given to us by our good friend Muck. Also be advised that the Wild Area is a very popular spot for hunting so always wear your bright orange during the hunting season.
