In the right season this place is very nice and grassy green - reason for the name. Just a beautiful little spot.
Directions from Williams Lake are: travel up Hwy 20, turn right at Hodgson Road at the Quick Stop convenience store. Follow Hodgson up past Bel-e-acres (golf course with mini golf)...keep going until road starts to level out...you will see power lines and a dirt road going to the right underneath the power lines. Follow the dirt road...you will go past a pond on the left, look for a road to the left...it will be the 2nd used road past the power lines.The road that you turn left on is at N 52 06.181 and W 122 12.028 approximately. Recommend walking in or use a quad, horse or truck (4X4 not needed, but I wouldnt try it in muddy weather). Note the road in is rough, deep ruts, mud puddles so dont take your car unless you want to get stuck! Following the road in you will come to a somewhat large open field...there are several roads going different directions but if you go almost straight across (100 metres entrance at N52 06.026 W122 12.151) you will hit the correct road. If walking you can follow your GPS through the trees until you get near a cow path. You should see several logs and a snag near the cache area. If driving: continue following the road until you get to a nice grassy area or a clear area where you can clearly see the lake rather than through trees. Stop and enjoy the scenery (watch out for cows, quads). Then get out follow coordinates while enjoying the short walk through the trees.I found the trees made the GPS a little wonky so you might have to turn in circles a few times. Watch out for cow pies.
