Lost Cows Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

2Morrows: I hoped to keep this cache going for a long time, as it was the first cache we ever placed. However, the tree it was hiding in has been archived and so I must archive the caches as well. Interestingly enough, my daughter and I played the lost cows game on our way to Girl Scout camp just this weekend. Thank you to everyone who searched for this cache in the past 10 years.

And now about the name of our cache...

While coming back from geocaching with our friends one day, one friend asked if we had ever played the car game "Cows" before. We hadn't so our friend told us how to play.

Everyone in the car is divided into two teams - the right side and the left side. Each team counts all the cows they can on their side of the road, that they pass throughout the day. But every time they pass a cemetery on their side of the road, they lose all their points. The winner is the person who has the most cows at the end of the drive.

The game started - the 2Morrows vs. the friends. As we played, our friends had counted lots of cows. We didn't have quite as many. As I remembered this cemetery and knowing we would be passing it, I knew they wouldn't have all their cows for long. This is where my friends lost their cows!

On some days, you may be able to see their lost cows when you look out into the fields at the back of the cemetery.
