The Civil War interpretive sign for this micro cache site is located at the Auburn Agricultural Experiment Station on State Highway 104.
Federal Troops camped in this area, now fields and orchards, during their march toward Fort Blakeley, prior to crossing the Bay into Mobile. After the yanks left the "Across the River" cache site at Fish River (Use waypoint: GCT4CN), the federal troops massed 32,000 infantry and field artillery in this vicinity before their move north to Spanish Fort. FTF will receive a rifle round found within this area.
