WRECKOGNITION Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

sparkyfry: Ack, it pains me to do this to my first cache, but I just can't seem to find a reliable spot. I checked up on it again today, and sure enough, it was gone. Must have washed down the hill. That's too bad -- I really like the spot, too. Maybe somebody else will have better luck than I.

Geocache Description:

This is my first cache hidden and may be the sister cache to "Moose Cache for Alice" (GC3445). Except you probably won't see any moose in this part of the state. Okay, maybe it's more of a second cousin thrice removed cache, but if you view the logs of that cache after visiting this one, you'll probably figure out why.

I discovered this area while attempting to take a short cut from "Walk Through Glenview" (GC1009A) to "Surveyor's Error" (GC5882). I don't recommend the short cut at all -- I don't even think it qualifies. It'll be about a quarter-mile hike from there, through some fairly overgrown areas. However, there is a trail going all the way to within fifty feet or so of the cache.

There is a strange object near the cache. You'll probably spot it quickly, but I put a waypoint for it just in case. Having people discover the object is really the only reason I chose to hide a cache here.

Cache is a pog tube. Original contents include the Tigger travel bug, log book, an unhelpful tape measure, a miniature cork, and a Canadian penny.
