We spotted this nice park and grab area 8 months ago.
Every motorcycle rally we put out a new cache in the Ruidoso area, just one. We already have many locations scouted, with one particular place in mind to hide the cache, and here lies our journey into the name.
Some cache names are very straight forward and simple, while others are difficult to understand. Our cache name would be one of the latter, without an explanation. We decided before we left for the May motorcycle rally that we would hide a medium lock-n-lock at this location, very sure that by now, they would have completed construction of the “Billy the Kid” rest area. When we visited it in September, the benches, parking lot and information board were in place. The only thing missing was the “information”. Apparently things move very slowly in Lincoln County, i.e. the name. 8-31-08 finished.
