About a mile hike round trip. Terrain not too level, but well defined trails to follow. Area closes at 10pm.
I used the guide to get the difficulty and terrain rating. It's possible to stay on the trails till you get within 10-15 feet of the cache. Cache has a few pencils, a log book in a zip lock bag, and schwag to trade. Parking and trail head can be found here N36º03.137 W102º31.504.

The cache outgrew it's container. I replaced the container with a large size ammo can. This ammo can should hold anything you might want to leave in it. This container was a little harder to hide than the original smaller round one it was in. The area is muggle free for the most part, but please take care when re-hiding the cache. I'd hate to see it disappear.

Trails on this side of the lake have been SERIOUSLY upgraded. No more muddy creek crossing. Trails are now about 7-8 feet wide now. Much better than the foot or two wide they were before. Still about a 20 foot section that's a little rough where it goes downhill, but other that than it's as nice as could be.
