hotshoe: Many DNFs, looks like the cache is gone again. This is a difficult place to fit a cache into a safe hiding nook, and I don't have any better ideas for a replacement.

Geocache Description:

In Fremont Peak State Park. Short but challenging scramble to the top of the southern peak.

State Park day use is $6; overnight camping costs $15. Access gate for day use open 8AM. There is an astronomical observatory in the park which is open to the public on moonless Saturdays from May to October.

Easy to spot, the only hard part is getting there. Yes, you have to climb all the way to the top! Elevation 3100'

Don't worry about the GPS! Get to the obvious high point. Cache is tucked into one of the only cracks large enough to hold a micro.
