Geocache Description:

Cache is located along a man made spawning channel adjacent to the Oktwanch River.

A one page "guide book" is placed inside a jar at the entrance to the spawning channel. This guide provides some history and information about the area that you will be visiting. The guide and entrance to the channel is located at: N 49 53.470 & W 126 10.869. The jar is located under a rock painted with orange. The guide also provides a clue to the cache's location. PLEASE REPLACE THE GUIDE AS YOU ARE LEAVING.

At the cache site you will find an explanation for the cache's name.

The cache itself is a small yellow plastic container suitable for small trade items and travel bugs. There is a log book and pencil.

Be aware of logging trucks and other heavy equipment that use the access road.

You can either drive or walk along the channel berm, but be warned that turning around with a larger vehicle may be tricky - you may need to back out.

Bring a camera and be stealthy. This area is frequented by elk year round and in fact every time I visit this site I always surprise a herd of elk, including today when I placed this cache.

Please do not disturb the fish in the channel.
