It’s half way between Independence and Big Pine on Hwy 395. There used to be a good virtual cache here, but when Caltrans closed this down to remodel, it was archived.
Well, Caltrans did a nice job on this rest stop...too bad California has so few of them compared to many other states. Lots of good info about everything native here and around here. Stretch your legs, rest, drink water (some of the best)and snag a cache! Usually LOTS of Muggles here, be stealthy please!..........******************************************************* ## Cache was placed with coords from 2 different Garmin GPS devices, NOT an iPhone! COORDS ARE NOT OFF IF YOU USE A REAL GPS AND NOT YOUR PHONE!!!!!!! !!!!.............................................. The hint is your friend! *^*^*^*^*^Please replace cache OUT of SIGHT as you found it!!*^*^*^*^* Cache is log only, BYOP please. Cache On!
