Geocache Description:

This cache is in Islamorada in the beautiful Florida Keys on an island not far from US-1. It is on the Indian Key State Park. You will need a boat or a kayak or take the tour boat over to the island.(phone 305-664-9814) There is a nice dock and brochures with the History of the 10 acre island located under the docks pavillion. The cache is a red waterproof tube with the usual assortment of goodies (pocketknife, keychains, stickers, etc). Once on the island you will need to seek a very large old tree with big roots. The cache is on the ground covered with leaves right next to a large root behind the tree.

Good Luck and enjoy the Park.

UPDATE !! The Park rangers are aware of the cache and asked me to remind everyone to stay on the named and numbered trails while visiting the rest of the island.
