It is famous for the Goomeri Pumpkin Festival which is held annually on the last Sunday in May. This festival attracts approximately 12,000 people to the small town to celebrate all things pumpkin. The Great Australian Pumpkin Roll has made Goomeri well known nationally and internationally.
The cache is placed in a nice rest place just off the main highway.
Note (5 Jan 2012): Difficulty level has been increased as you will need to bring a tool to remove the cache from its hole ... unless you have very long arms!
