Set aside time for NMGeocaching's quarterly clean up on I-25 and Rio Bravo.
We are going to meet at the same site as before. Take the I-25 & Rio Bravo exit, head back onto the I-25 southbound entrance ramp and park to the right. As with last July, we are meeting at 7:00AM to avoid the heat of this Sunday.
We will be cleaning a 1 mile stretch of I-25, which means both sides and the center. We are going about a half mile in both directions from Rio Bravo.
Wear gloves and bring lot's of water as even that early in the morning it gets hot fast. This section of the Interstate can be a very dangerous location for children and it is recommended that children under 10 not participate.
If you are hesitant about coming because your back can't take bending over and over, lesslost2 introduced the E-Z Reacher tool which helped a lot. It's available at Lowe's and Ace Hardware.
While you are picking up trash, you might pick up some cache hints.
It took us about 1 hour to get this done in April. The more participation we have the faster we can clean up and get on to other activities.
