Dalwhinnie Train Station lies on the Inverness & Perth Junction Railway, just off the A9.
Field Marshall Bernard Montgomery stayed here for a period of leave prior to the Allied invasion of Europe in 1944, a plaque in the station details this visit.
If you carry a camera you will appear to be a trainspotter.....attracts less attention from the neighbours.
