Wales Hollow was the largest settlement in the early years with a church, post office, two stores, two hotels, a school and several mill related activities on Buffalo Creek. It was the hub of a farming community and a stage coach stop before the road was relocated.
It still is the “Hub of the Universe” for Boy Scout Troop 251 located in the church. It is the home of many Eagle Scouts from a small rural troop. It is also the home of the “Spoon Supper and Strawberry Social “in late June.
April, 2012 - Times have changed. Boy Scout Troop gone and not enough ladies to continue the spoon supper. Trailmaster70
