Geocache Description:

May 28, 1945

This cache is part I of a cache series in honor of my parents 62nd Anniversary and Dad's 86th birthday. My dad gave me my first compass about 50 years ago and told me how to enjoy the woods to their fullest.

You will need to find the two caches listed in the table to obtain your ~MAGNETIC~ bearings and final distance, so you can find the cache. The bearings and directions are placed in the caches posted. So read your maps and pay close attention to what is revealed.
Magnetic Changes 2012
2007 D = 9° 44' changing by 0° 7' W/year
2012 D = 9° 05' changing by 0° 8' W/year

The following aids will be helpful in your search:

  1. A GPS to find the parking and the two caches in the table.
  2. Standard Baseplate Compass
  3. Protractor and Ruler
  4. Compass (aka Divider)

Knowledge of how to plot locations on a map using either UTM's (easiest) or Latitude & Longitude (pitn) will make the search for this elusive cache a wee bit easier.

When you find this cache mark a UTM waypoint and read Anne's Overlook Cache Page for instructions. GC13649

Cache is swagless its the location and the search that counts!!
