The second Foreign Coins cache.
This cache is a small rubbermaid tub wraped in black duct tape. It contains some foreign coins, log book (bring a pencil) and cache note. If you take a foreign coin, leave a foreign coin. No Canadian or Mexican coins please (they are too comon). I can't believe I need to say it but NO U.S. COINS either.
The dirt & gravel road is well maintained but washboarding is very comon. The best place to park is next to the big rock outcropping near the cache. You'll know it when you see it. If you climb to the top you get an excelent view of the valley beyond. You should be able to see Long's Peak or Mt. Evans (not sure which) in the distance. Wear pants because the granite rocks are rough.
There are camping spots all along Rampart Range Road. You can make a weekend out of it by camping and hiking to the Ranger Station at the top of Devil's Head. It is a brisk hike on a trail that is nearly a 10% grade. Bring pleanty of water.
