Just a cow chip toss off Piute Mountain Road, in the Southern Sequoia National Forest.

West of the junction of Kelso Valley and Piute Mountain roads, 6 miles as the crow flies, 9 miles if the crow drives a vehicle up Piute Mountain Road. In the tall trees. Beautiful view of Landers Meadow. If you hit it in just the right time of year, you can watch real live working cowboys roping & branding calves.
