If you are paddling, put in is at the parking area just east of the
dam on Split Rock Rd.
Hiking access is either via the yellow Boy Scout trail on
Kinnelon Rd (with a bushwack to the Split Rock Loop Trail), or
directly via the blue blazed Split Rock Loop Trail or the white
blazed Four Birds Trail, both of which are accessed from Split Rock
Rd.
There may also be access from the north end of the reservoir via
a woods road that begins just before the Boy Scout camp, but I've
never come in that way so no guarantees.
The Boy Scout camp is off limits, so do not attempt access via
the camp.
Note: The cache is very close to the trail so it's very
important that it's re-hidden well.
