Located on the Farmington River Trail in Collinsville.
Collinsville is home to the Collinsville Axe Company which is now an antique store. It has appeared on many lists as a great daycation spot. There is a canoe and kayak store where you can rent a boat for a flatwater paddle on the Farmington River, two wonderful eating establishments, a historical museum, a gallery or two, and a walking and bicycle trail.
You'll have a short walk (less than 3/4 of mile round trip) along the trail. Start at the little park near the boat launch by the canoe store. There are benches to sit and enjoy the view of the river.
