THE ABOVE CO-ORDINATES ARE BOGUS!! This mystery cache will test your skills to solve a sudoku puzzle, to seek information, to calculate mathematically, and to use a compass projection to locate the cache at its final destination.
First solve the attached sudoku puzzle to get the real co-ordinates. Substitute the numbers for the following letters.
N 50 AB.CDE W 104 FG.0HJ.
Take your time while visiting this location as you will need to find additional information before calculating the answers to find the BEARING in degrees from true North and the DISTANCE in kilometers.
BEARING = (Find the number of officers, non commissioned officers and men lost from the 1st Battalion of the Regina Rifle Regiment subtract 10) divide by 4.
DISTANCE = (Find the number of war brides subtract the number of children) divide by 20,000.
Find and stand on the Maple Leaf. The actual cache is some distance away and can be found at an art sculpture by traveling the correct BEARING and DISTANCE.
You will be looking for a hide-a-key container. (BYOP) If you're lucky you may also find a "letterbox" container nearby.
You must sign the Geocache log book to claim this cache as a "FIND" or your on-line log will be deleted.
