Somewhere north of this site, Stephen Michalak, an amateur geologist, was looking for a vein of silver in the granite that predominates in this area. What happened to him there is still one of the most credible yet still unexplained UFO sitings in the world today.

The cache is located inside Whiteshell Provincial Park and so a Manitoba Provincial Park Pass is required to access the park. Provincial parks protect unique natural, cultural and historical sites; visitors should be respectful and remain on existing paths/trails.
Update: There is free admission to Manitoba Parks for 2009 and 2010 so no park pass is required! Enjoy!
