Geocache Description:

Down Tor (also known as Hingston Hill)

This was an impromptue cache which we stashed whilst out walking the dogs on the last Bank Holiday Monday!

Parking is recommended at Norwsorthy Bridge, Burrator. From here head out to Down Tor and the stone row and stircle can clearly be seen. The cache itself is located at the 'other end' of the row- towards what can be seen on the OS map as a cairn (although it looks rather like a ruined house).

We can higly recommend Cuckoo Rock which is nearby, from here head back through one of the numerous Public Footpaths that are signposted through the pine woods(Deancombe Farm and then onto Burrator)If you have time for a leaisurely walk back that is (with all the other caches nearby you might be somewhat distracted)

At the moment the cache itself has a logbook and pencil in it but will hold coins and smallish TB's. We hope to pop some swappables in at some near point in the future.

Happy caching!
