Tie breakers in many sports are determined by the final play as the buzzer sounds. In poker, if both hands have the same two pair then the kicker determines the winner. We are celebrating the 1K of two pairs of cachers: Harley_Hound and Webcacher, Jam1967- Amy and Jamie, and our ace kicker, NCFlyFisher.
With geaocaching, everyone is a winner every time they step out the door and away from the couch. To reach 1000 finds ascertains that these cachers are winners and walkers. Consider the journey; they began as we all did with an inexpensive GPS, reams of paper, and a pair of sneakers. Well, not Webcacher, she tried high heels and advanced to sandals. As they networked and learned of TOTTs, software, mapping software, and PAFs, they all became more skilled and great friends along the caching paths. What more can you ask of a sport?
Now let's get together to celebrate their 1K cachestone. The plan is to get together at about 6 PM at the above coordinates. We'll have a cookout then recognize our two pairs and ace kicker with the traditional special recognitions. Prior to the event you'll have the opportunity to seek many of the existing Redneck and Johnston County guardrail geocaches plus there will be some new caches hidden.
